It is blog software you install on your own Linux hosting. It works like WordPress, except that SEO, image optimization and security come built into the core. You upload two files and the wizard installs everything in about 30 minutes. After that it is familiar: you write and publish from the /admin panel. Your site and your data stay entirely on your server.
PHP 8+, MySQL 5.7+ (or MariaDB 10.3+) and 256 MB of memory; an ordinary shared hosting plan is enough. No Node.js, no Docker, no dedicated server. The domain and hosting are yours, and you do not need to know server administration: the wizard names anything that is missing.
There is. The free plan runs one site with no time limit and no card: the full editor, built-in SEO, AVIF/WebP conversion, WordPress migration and every update including security fixes, plus three themes. Paid plans add the other twelve themes, the theme customizer, the Content Wizard, SEO analysis and the plugins. The free plan has no support and keeps the "Powered by jekcms" line.
You download two files from your customer panel and upload them to your hosting root; the wizard connects the database and installs everything itself. Most people are live within 30 minutes, including importing existing WordPress content, and the flow is identical on a free licence.
Largely yes. Install the jekcms Migrator plugin on your WordPress and it packs the site into one zip: posts, pages, categories, authors, comments, media and Yoast / Rank Math fields, along with a redirect map for your old addresses. Upload that zip to the wizard; images are re-encoded to AVIF locally. What does not come across: shortcodes and Elementor/Divi markup.
No. Put an HTTP Request node at the end of your n8n flow and post to jekcms at /api/v1/webhook/draft; the content lands in your panel as a draft and the decision to publish stays with you. Which AI model you use is your choice on the n8n side. (The provider built into jekcms itself is Gemini.)
There are 15 ready-made themes: news, finance, lifestyle, entertainment, tech, minimalist and others. You can change the colours, logo and font (50+ Google Fonts) of any theme from the panel, and the change shows on the site as soon as you save.
Each licence covers one domain. Paid licences include all themes, full API access, the WordPress importer, n8n integration, automatic SEO tools and 2FA security. The licence is annual, with updates and support included. The first year is discounted; the renewal price is printed on the pricing page and renewal is never automatic.
